What is Jumble?

Jumble is an online directory of spiritual practice in the UK. It is a directory of people and organisations who offer services, either free or charged for, that relate to spiritual practice.

What is meant by Spiritual Practice?

We use the term spiritual practice in a broad sense, meaning any kind of practice that has a spiritual aspect or basis. By practice we mean any kind of event or service that a person can attend to take part in some way. It might be a service at a local church, yoga lessons, a shop selling related products or a weekend retreat.

How does the directory work?

Our directory is organised by categories and locations. You can start with the area that you live, or choose a category that interests you, or both. You will then be shown all of the entries in our directory that match your choices.

Who owns Jumble?

Jumble is owned and operated by Nigel Peck, a website developer based in Saltaire, West Yorkshire. Nigel was looking for a project that could combine his work skills with his main personal interest of spirituality. Jumble is the result of that search.

How does Jumble generate income?

Being listed on Jumble is free, so the basic directory entries do not generate any income. However, the plan is to offer an option for members of the directory to pay to have much more detailed information displayed about them, effectively creating a mini-website for them within Jumble, which could also run as a stand-alone website. This should be of particular interest to those who do not already have a website.

How is Jumble designed?

Various decisions have been made about the way in which Jumble is designed. More information about this process and the decisions that were made can be found on the following pages:
